Lately (these past few months) I have had the urge to go and paint odds and ends. The things that I have been painting have been rocks, a piggy bank, bird houses, a pencil box, a magazine box, little wooden figures and whatever else I can get my hands on. It really is such a joy for me. Trying to give simple, everyday things I see some color and some personalty. I like to think as I do these patterns and designs on what I am working on. This started a few years ago when I painted rocks and now I think this is my new obsession.

Yesterday I got a new book on "Crewel Embroidery". This book has more detailed designs in it and goes step by step with each stitch. Such an creative outlet this is, really. Some of the patterns in here I have been wanting to try, but feared they would be too hard. I really love doing embroidery so much. I plan on working on my jacket till most of it is filled up, then I plan on working on some more blue jean clothes like skirts, maybe even shirts and maybe another purse or another jacket. Also, later I want to maybe make a baby blanket or do some embroidery on baby clothes.

I still have yet to work on my water color paintings, I do not know why, but now I have lost my passion to do so with it. Maybe in a few months I will want to work on it more. It was really quite hard and I think I just lost patience with it. Hopefully things will turn around soon, that would be great to master and be able to do without any trouble.

And of course, I have been doing a drawing here and there like always. Lately I have been trying to draw anime and manga characters cause I had a feeling I forgot to draw them in the style they should be and thought that maybe I lost my touch, too. I want to go back and do some more ink drawings and more new styles, like mastering a drawing or picture of a person or even a simple one of me. As I have felt for years, I feel like the stuff I draw is too cute and I need to get some new ideas. I do want to throw up some random drawings of characters from my stories on here, but fear others will steal my ideas.
